SCOTLAND'S top vampire expert has revealed how her love of the undead has left her drained.
Bite Me magazine editor Arlene Russo, said: "Vampires almost sucked the life right out of me."
The Twilight books and movies have put the blood-suckers back in the spotlight.
But Arlene, whose vampire and paranomal magazine has an international reputation, said: "At first, it was a labour of love but 10 years of it took over my life.
"I became enthralled by Dracula at the age of 10 when I saw Dracula: Prince of Darkness with Christpher Lee, my favourite vampire.
"It changed my life, turning me into a huge Hammer Films fan, an obsession that has endured.
"It took me years to actually get the first Bite Me magazine off the ground and I'm now working on the 10th anniversary edition, "It's taken me around the world, I've met thousands of incredibly interesting people. But it had also taken over my life.
