Re: Coffins?

I think a good place to start is what do you want from your coffin...

What shape do you want? Casket, rectangular box, or tapered traditional 'gothic' coffin?

Do you want to sleep with the lid open or closed?
Closed then its most likely a custom build, as we humans have this rather unfortunate habit of needing to breathe and ventilation is not a design consideration for regular coffins.

Do you want your coffin to sleep more than one? or to have more room than a snug fit?
Again if so that's leaning towards a custom job?

Darkdruid wrote:Cons- Hard to find a mattress to fit!.

Not entirely you could just cut down a memory foam mattress, and use the excess to pad the sides and lid.

As for Lovemaking positions being restricted, if you're only considering 'in' then maybe, but if you include 'on' and 'over' then surely, if anything, they would be more liberated

But I agree, everyone would think you're mad! Whether that's a pro or con I leave up to you.

xanthe wrote:That does sound good....

you know you can get sleeping bag coffins so that would be able to do lovemaking in but still a little tricky. Although they are pricey they are less than actual coffins.

They're here http://www.groovycart.co.uk/cart.php?c=62&p=9215

Hope this helps

Re: Coffins?

Trust the people on here to equate coffins to lovemaking.
This is why I love this crypt.

We are not equating, we are merely discussing the practical implications of...

Re: Coffins?

I have always wanted one but alas it has not meant to be. Lack of money and space.

Gonna ask my dad to make one to use a bookcase though.

always thought of having a coffin table instead of a coffee table too. Mind you for all the ideas and what i'd like to do i'd need a 15 bedroom mansion with a cellar. Heehee
